We Grow

We grow followers of Jesus into mature disciples.

Our Classes

APD offers a variety of discipleship classes. Our foundational class, Rooted in the Word: Basic Bible Study Principles for Deep Roots, teaches the importance of studying the Bible in its original languages and why soul transformation after salvation is vital to our growth into mature disciples of Christ. Other classes offered build upon the foundation given in Rooted in the Word

Rooted in the Word: Basic Bible Study Principles for Deep Roots

As a Christian, do you sense there is supposed to be more? More to your walk with God? More to the Christian life? There is more. God wants to speak to us on a deep level through His living Word. The Bible is full of hidden mysteries and treasures that He is just waiting to reveal, not for the sake of head knowledge, but because He wants a rich relationship with you and wants you to experience an abundant life.

Rooted in the Word: Basic Bible Study Principles for Deep Roots is a class designed to equip you to study the Bible and hear from God personally. It teaches you how to dig into Scripture like a treasure hunt. As the Holy Spirit reveals hidden mysteries, your faith will grow, strongholds will be broken, and the fruit of the Spirit will begin to manifest in your life.

Rebuilding Our Gates

In 445 B.C., due to the Babylonian siege, the holy city of Jerusalem lay in ruins, crumbling, devastated, and a hollow shell of her intended identity. Her walls were burned down, and her gates were in ruins. Nehemiah, a Jewish captive, set out to rebuild and restore what the enemy had destroyed. The first step was to fortify: rebuild the wall surrounding the city and repair her gates.

The repair process Nehemiah underwent to repair the wall and gates around Jerusalem is a pattern for renewing our minds and sanctifying our souls as disciples of Jesus Christ. Do you often feel you are not living the abundant life Jesus promises in His Word? Even as a believer, do life's circumstances, your past, or unhealed pain guide your life and decisions? Despite your best efforts, do you struggle to overcome fear, anxiety, anger, bitterness, or addictions? If so, Rebuilding Our Gates: A Hebraic Discipleship Study on Renewing the Mind and Transforming the Soul can assist you in identifying the root causes and equip you to step into your identity in Christ. Rooted in Hebraic thought, culture, and concepts, it uses the original Biblical languages and Hebrew alphabet to unlock mysteries hidden beneath the surface. You will learn to dissect God's Word at the deepest level to unlock hidden treasures that will change how you read the Bible forever!

Meaning security, trust, and restful sleep, Kislev is a month to focus on whom or what we trust and to evaluate whether our lives are truly built on the rock of faith and trust in Christ....

Something I have recently begun doing is reading through a One-Year Bible. Over the years, I have read many different reading plans, with my favorite being the chronological plan because it aids tremendously in helping the Bible make sense. I picked up this current One-Year Bible to have a guide each day to either start or end my day (I...
